Why certify a tourist experience?
When choosing a culinary, cultural or outdoor experience, people often base their decision on a review, a photo or a description that frequently promises more than it ultimately delivers.
Touring Experience was created to change this approach. It is a certification process developed by CARSA – The Thinking Company in collaboration with the Touring Club Italiano, which acts as its guarantor. It evaluates Italian tourist experiences based on what they actually offer, not just on how they are described.

The “Touring Experience Certified” mark
Experiences that earn the “Touring Experience Certified” mark are evaluated based on shared criteria related to the quality of their design and communication, their reliability and accessibility, their sustainability, and the value they generate for the local area and community.
To ensure that these requirements are met in practice, we experience the activity anonymously, disguised as an ordinary traveler, to verify firsthand that what was evaluated matches what is actually offered.
Only experiences that pass both the evaluation and on-site verification stages receive the “Touring Experience Certified” mark.

Self-assessment
This phase maps the existing offer and provides a first quality evaluation of experiences. The aggregated report gives a clear view of strengths and areas for improvement

Touring Experience Certification
Mystery audits for experiences that pass self-assessment, evaluating each experience across the seven key dimensions of the certification system (from usability to emotional impact, from territorial integration to environmental sustainability); if successful, the experience may carry, for two years, the “Touring Certified Experience” recognition with the Touring Club Italiano logo.
